I bring the magic of our festivals and mythology to life. Through interactive stories about Ganesha, Durga, and more, I help children connect with our rich cultural heritage and values in a way that feels like play, not a lesson.

Welcome to my Navratri series! On Day 1, we learn about Goddess Shailaputri. Her story, born from Sati's sacrifice, teaches us about self-respect and the importance of standing up for what we believe in.

On Day 2 of Navratri, we explore the story of Brahmacharini. Parvati's devotion and hard work to win Lord Shiva's heart teaches children the value of perseverance and focus in achieving their dreams.

Day 3 of Navratri brings the story of Chandraghanta. When faced with Lord Shiva's terrifying form, Parvati found her own courage and transformed. This tale shows us how to be brave even in the most frightening of times.

For Day 4 of Navratri, we meet Kushmanda Devi, who created the entire universe with just a smile. Her story is a beautiful way to talk about creativity, imagination, and the power we have to bring new things into the world.

Meet Skanda Mata on Day 5 of Navratri, the divine mother of the warrior Kartikeya. This story is about unconditional love, teamwork, and the powerful bond between a mother and her child.

Day 6 of Navratri is for Maa Katyayani, created from the combined energies of the gods. Her story teaches children about gratitude, teamwork, and the inner strength that comes from collaboration.

On Day 8 of Navratri, we celebrate Maa Mahagauri. Her journey from being covered in dust from her penance to radiant beauty teaches us that true beauty comes from within and the power of self-transformation.

This is the story of Maa Kali, a fierce form of the goddess. Her story is a powerful lesson on channeling anger to fight injustice and protecting the innocent, showing that even fierce energy can be used for good.

On the final day of Navratri, we worship Maa Siddhidaatri. Her story, where she becomes one with Shiva as Ardhanarishwar, teaches children about equality, balance, and the harmony between different energies.

Why do we buy gold on Dhanteras? I love telling the clever story of King Hima's son and his brave wife who outwitted Lord Yam with lamps and gold. It’s a wonderful tale of hope, resilience, and creativity.

About Tales from Our Roots

My sessions are never just a performance. When I tell a story about Maa Durga or Lord Ganesha, I invite children to act out the scenes, make the sounds, and ask the questions that pop into their heads. This makes the experience dynamic, as every group brings their own energy and curiosity to the tale. We don't just listen to legends; we explore them together.
