Signature Interior Designs: Where Heritage Meets Modernity
This is my design journey. It is a collection of spaces where history, hand-painted details, and modern life come together to tell a story.
This hand-painted temple in a Hyderabad home represents the soul of my work. We chose a bold, unapologetic red, softened by intricate white motifs painted over 90 days by master artists from Jaipur. It’s a space that proves design can be both daring and meditative, a testament to the power of traditional craftsmanship.
First impressions begin the moment the lift doors open. For this expansive office lobby, I aimed for a cinematic feel, using a calm sage green and custom black-and-white marble flooring to create a grand, yet welcoming, prelude to the creative world inside. This is where timeless elegance meets contemporary sophistication.
This versatile family room is designed for connection and reflection. The large sliding doors are the centerpiece, crafted from old Portuguese Goan shell panels that filter light beautifully. By repurposing these historic elements, we’ve woven a piece of Goan architectural heritage into a modern Mumbai home.
I love creating quiet corners for reflection. This intimate, wood-panelled study in a bustling office serves as a retreat for calm conversation or script read-throughs. The space is anchored by a vintage Ram Durbar painting, infusing it with a sense of tradition and reverence for storytelling.
It was an honor to restore this Delhi bungalow for Kangana Ranaut as she began her new chapter as a Member of Parliament. We peeled back layers to reveal the home's original soul, using hand-painted art to reflect her fierce yet grounded personality. This project was a true homecoming for the house and its story.
A door can be a canvas. For this project, I drew inspiration from Aztec art and Moroccan tribal patterns to create a contemporary design with deep cultural roots. Hand-painted on-site, these doors, paired with a cast iron fireplace, show how artistry can be woven into every detail of a home.
This cozy reading nook was built around a single cherished piece: the client's grandfather's rocking chair. By layering it with varied planters, a vintage table from Chor Bazaar, and bold paisley wallpaper, we created a corner that feels both nostalgic and fresh, proving that sentimental items can be the heart of a modern space.
The human touch is irreplaceable. I collaborate closely with local *karigars* whose skills have been passed down through generations. This video shows the patient process of hand-hammering metal panels, a beautiful example of the craftsmanship that brings soul and authenticity to my projects.
About Featured
Every space here began with a conversation, not a plan. Whether restoring a heritage bungalow in Delhi or designing an office lobby in Mumbai, I focus on uncovering the soul of the room. A home should be lived in, which is why I prioritize the slow process of working with local craftspeople to layer authentic textures and history into every corner.
My approach is simple: preserve what is old and adapt it for modern needs. When I look at a space, I do not see a blank canvas, but a structure with history. I enjoy the challenge of taking a family heirloom chair and making it the center of a new reading nook. This process requires patience. I collaborate with local craftspeople who understand the weight of hand-painting a motif or the precision needed to restore marble floors. It is not about speed, but about getting the feeling right.
In the projects displayed here, you will see a range of my work. This includes corporate lobbies that need to be both professional and warm, and private temples where I use bold colors and intricate details to invite meditation. Each project reflects the personality of the people living or working there. If you are looking for a space that values history as much as functionality, we should talk about your requirements.
