Why I Teach Caricature

Art pulled me out of a tough spot, and now I teach because I want others to feel that buzz you get when you make something with your own hands. Caricature is more than just doodling - it's about catching a person's personality, not just their face.

What You'll Learn

We jump right in - no boring theory. I show you what actually works for live caricature drawing techniques:

• Basics of portraits and how to twist them into fun caricatures
• Tricks for exaggerating features (you'll laugh at some of them, promise)
• Fast drawing skills so you can sketch people on the spot
• Colouring hacks that make your work pop

Where It Happens

My studio in Malad West is not your usual art class - it's the only caricature art studio Mumbai has, and it's packed with inspiration. Right by Merwans Bakery, so you get art and the smell of fresh pastries.

Workshop Options

You can pick:

• A beginner caricature workshop if you just want to try things out
• A full-on, longer course if you want to level up and get deep into the craft

Materials We Use

I'm all about using quality stuff. You'll get hands-on with Copic marker caricature class sessions, Prismacolor Art Stix, and proper archival paper.

Real Talk

Finishing a piece and seeing that face come alive? It's khoop chaan watta! (feels really nice). Sometimes it's tough, but if you stick with it, you'll surprise yourself with what you can create.
