How I Got Into Caricature

Mera naam Rajesh Naik hai. Honestly, main pehle ek normal naukri karta tha (I used to do a regular job). Fir Times of India ke cartoons ne mujhe inspire kiya (cartoons in Times of India inspired me). I learnt from my guru, started gifting caricatures to friends, and slowly, passion turned to profession. Ab toh (Now), my art has taken me all across India. For me, caricatures are about spreading joy. Ye kala toh sabko hasana chahti hai (This art just wants to make everyone laugh).

What Happens at Live Events

I set up a live event caricature drawing booth - simple setup, lots of fun. Shadi, sangeet, birthdays, corporate gigs, college fests - sab jagah (everywhere). Guests sit with me for a few minutes, and I sketch them in a style that exaggerates their features, with jokes and laughter thrown in. You get a personal keepsake, either as classic black & white or vibrant watercolor caricature portraits. Individuals, couples, even small groups - sab kuch possible hai (all possible).

Workshops & Demos

I love sharing this art. Conduct interactive art workshops for college students, including college art demonstrations where I talk about real-life illustration experience. For kids, I run caricature storytelling sessions - combining kahani (story) with drawing. All art supplies provided, no stress.

Where I Travel

Based in Mumbai and Pune, but I’ve travelled for events from Jaipur to Shillong, Bhopal, Nagpur, Raipur - basically, kahin bhi bulao, aa jaunga (call me anywhere, I’ll come).
