Kabaddi demands explosive power, but your body needs flexibility and calm focus to stay in the game. We integrate specific yoga practices to build injury-proof muscles and mental grit.

Here I am demonstrating Mayurasana (Peacock Pose). This yoga asana is excellent for strengthening the arms, wrists, and abdomen, and it also improves digestion and focus.

Our players practicing Trikonasana (Triangle Pose). Yoga gives us the energy to face life's challenges, both on and off the kabaddi court.

The power of yoga is immense. It is a mirror to look at ourselves from within, helping us build mental strength along with physical flexibility.

Practicing Vakasana (Crow Pose). This balancing asana is great for strengthening the shoulders and arms, and it significantly improves concentration and balance.

A guide to the do's and don'ts of Uttanasana (Standing Forward Fold). Correct posture is key to stretching the hamstrings and back muscles safely and effectively.

A glimpse of the Yoga Day program at our academy. We had a massive turnout, with all our players participating in the session.

Players practicing Savasana (Corpse Pose) during our Yoga Day event. Relaxation and recovery are a crucial part of our training regimen.

Our players engaged in a breathing exercise during the Yoga Day program. Pranayama is essential for improving lung capacity and mental calm.

Another view of our Yoga Day celebration. It's great to see so many young players embracing yoga as part of their fitness journey.

About Yoga for Kabaddi: Flexibility & Focus

Most academies treat yoga as just a warm-up, but I teach it as essential equipment for a player. Tight hamstrings and weak core stability are the leading causes of injuries during a high-speed dash or a raid. I show my students specific postures like Vakasana and Uttanasana because they build the exact balance and body control you need to stay in the match, not on the sidelines.
