How We Design Your Custom Cake

When we step away from standard designs into the realm of artistic cakes, we are really talking about engineering and art coming together. Whether you have a Pinterest board full of inspiration or just a vague feeling of the 'vibe' you want, we start by mapping that out.

My Approach to Artistic Details:

• Sugar Floristry: I hand-craft flowers like peonies and roses using gumpaste. These aren't just decorations; they are intricate pieces that can be kept as mementos after the event.
• Wafer Paper & Texture: I love using wafer paper to create sails, butterflies, or delicate petals. It adds a movement and lightness to the cake that fondant simply cannot replicate.
• Hand-Painting: Using edible paints, I create watercolor effects or metallic accents directly onto the buttercream. This gives the cake a sophisticated, 'hand-painted' finish that is exclusive to your order.
• Geometric & Structural Elements: From geode crystals made of sugar to gold-leaf detailing, I focus on the textures that make a cake feel luxurious.

The Process: From Idea to Oven

Because I prioritize small-batch baking and fresh ingredients, these artistic cakes require a bit of planning. Once you share your theme, we discuss the flavor profile and the structural needs. If you are planning a multi-tier wedding cake or a specific milestone birthday, I recommend reaching out at least a few days in advance.
