About Grandeur & Royalty: Palace-Themed Events
Transforming a modern hotel hall into an authentic palace courtyard requires precise architectural planning. For this setup, we fabricated custom arches to frame the stage and installed printed vinyl flooring that replicates the look of traditional pink marble, ensuring the space feels like a regal dwelling rather than a standard event area.
When I approach a palace-themed event, my goal is to break away from the typical 'standard stage' look. At this Four Seasons Bangalore engagement, we didn't just place a backdrop; we redefined the room's architecture to build an immersive experience.
The Fabrication Process
Instead of off-the-shelf panels, we build everything from scratch. This allows us to control the scale and the finish, ensuring it fits your specific venue layout.
Key Elements of This Design
- Structural Arches: We constructed a series of tall standing arches that enclosed the dance floor and stage, physically changing how guests moved through and perceived the room.
- The Jharokha DJ Booth: Rather than using a generic console, I designed a DJ booth that doubled as an ornate, balcony-style Jharokha. We embedded it directly into the backdrop, so the music felt like part of the set.
- Flooring & Lighting: By using printed vinyl flooring, we created the visual path of a palace corridor. Combined with warm ambient lighting and custom floral accents, it made the transition from the entrance to the main stage feel intentional.
