From the high-energy beats of Navratri Garba to the graceful movements of our traditional folk pieces, we bring the spirit of every festival into our dance.

Kicking off the Navratri season with my students in a high-energy Garba performance. The twirls, the colorful lehengas, and the festive music make this a favorite time of year.

Part two of our Navratri special, showcasing more intricate Garba steps and formations. My students are performing this trio piece in beautiful, coordinated traditional attire.

A solo Navratri performance by one of my wonderful young students. She is dancing in a vibrant, multi-colored ghagra choli, using fans as props to add to the flair.

Another fantastic Navratri performance from a young student dancing to the popular song 'Boom Padi'. This showcases the fun and energy we bring to our Garba workshops.

A lively Garba duo dancing to 'Sun Sajni'. This piece shows how we teach partnered folk dance, focusing on chemistry and synchronized movements for festive events.

A group of my students performing a celebratory piece for Lohri. Dressed in beautiful pink and white outfits, their performance captures the warmth and joy of the harvest festival.

A sweet solo performance by a young student for Janmashtami. She is portraying the story of Maiyya Yashoda through expressive semi-classical movements in a traditional lehenga.

A group performance celebrating Janmashtami, with one of our youngest students dressed as little Krishna. It’s a beautiful piece that tells a story and involves dancers of all ages.

A devotional performance for Mahashivratri, filmed at a local temple. My students are performing a powerful piece to 'Har Har Mahadev', blending reverence with strong dance technique.

A powerful group performance to 'Deva Shree Ganesha' for Ganesh Chaturthi. The students are in striking red costumes, showcasing synchronized movements and formations.

About Festive & Folk Performances

Whether you are preparing for a festive family gathering or simply want to master the authentic steps for Navratri or Lohri, my sessions break down complex folk rhythms into easy, manageable patterns. We focus on the story behind the movement, ensuring that you do not just learn the choreography, but also feel the cultural essence behind every beat.

Why Folk Dance Matters

Dance is deeply woven into our traditions. When we perform folk styles like Garba, Bhangra, or Rajasthani folk, we are connecting with our roots. In these sessions, I teach you to move with intention, focusing on the specific posture, hand movements (mudras), and footwork required for each regional style.

What You Will Learn

My festive workshops are designed to be inclusive and fun, regardless of your experience level:

  • Rhythmic Foundation: We start with the basics of the beat, so you feel confident keeping time with the music.
  • Expression (Abhinaya): Folk dance is not just about the feet. You will learn to use your expressions to convey the joy and devotion behind festive tracks.
  • Choreography: I break down trending and traditional songs so you can perform them with grace at events, weddings, or family celebrations.

Our Festive Calendar

We celebrate through the year:

  • Navratri: Focus on Garba twirls, coordination, and stamina.
  • Lohri & Baisakhi: High-energy Bhangra and folk-fusion routines.
  • Diwali & Devotional: Graceful, semi-classical movements suitable for prayers and celebrations.

Whether you are joining my studio in Meerut for a group session or logging into an online workshop from your living room, the focus remains on building confidence and having a wonderful time. You will get practice videos to help you retain the choreography long after the class ends.

Dance for me is about more than just steps; it is a way to celebrate our roots and feel connected to the people around us. In my studio, I do not just teach choreography; I create a space where my girls and I can explore the joy of our traditions through movement, laughter, and a whole lot of energy.
