About Festive Garba & Dandiya
You don’t need to be a pro to join us. We focus on simple, repetitive steps that get everyone moving together, so whether you’ve never held a Dandiya stick before or just want to brush up on your teen-taali (three-clap) patterns, you’ll fit right in. We provide the wooden sticks and keep the energy high from the first beat.
Our Garba and Dandiya workshops are designed for pure joy. We break down traditional rhythms into easy-to-follow steps so you spend more time dancing and less time worrying about getting the footwork perfect. We host these sessions in our Kalkaji and Greenfield studios, creating that big-group festive vibe even if it is not festival season.
We provide the wooden Dandiya sticks, so you just need to turn up in something comfortable like a Kurti or jeans. Since these are high-energy group classes, expect loud music, lots of laughter, and a room full of people who are there to have a good time. We keep the pace beginner-friendly, focusing on the basics of circular folk movement and rhythm coordination.
