Garba Solo Performances by Aakanksha
Dance is pure expression for me. These clips capture the energy I bring to every session, from casual park routines to structured workshop choreography.
A quick compilation of me dancing in various Navratri outfits. This shows the variety of styles and the sheer fun of dressing up and dancing your heart out during the festival.
The excitement is real when Navratri is just around the corner. This is me, dancing in a park, unable to contain my happiness. This is the feeling that inspired me to start teaching.
A true Garba lover will dance through anything, even a little rain. This performance captures the unstoppable passion for dance that I share with all my students.
Another look at this vibrant, multi-colored chaniya choli in action. The twirls and spins are my favorite part of Garba, and I teach you how to master them gracefully.
A still moment captured mid-twirl. This image shows the beautiful silhouette and flow of a traditional Garba outfit, which adds so much to the performance.
About The Joy of Garba: Solo Performances
I do not teach perfection because dance is about feeling the music, not nailing a move with technical precision. My goal is to help you build confidence so you can step into any Garba circle with ease.
When I left my corporate job, I made a deal with myself that dance would always be about pure joy. The solo performances you see here are not about showing off. They are a display of the same energy I bring to every class I host in Bangalore. Whether we are meeting in Koramangala or Indiranagar, my priority is keeping things real and accessible for everyone.
My approach is simple. We strip away the intimidating layers of professional dance and focus on the basics like Do Taali or Dodiya. Then, we layer in the fun. We often mix traditional Gujarati folk steps with popular Bollywood fusion tracks because that is how you actually learn to enjoy the rhythm. You might see me twirling in a colorful chaniya choli in these videos, but in our sessions, we focus on practical, repeatable moves that work in any crowd.
You do not need to be a pro to join. Many students come to me having never danced before, and by the end of the workshop, they are spinning with the rest of the group. If you have been looking for a sign to start, watch these clips and remember that I started exactly where you are. Come join me for some serious mazza and learn to love the beat.
