Authentic Homemade Amla Candy
Childhood nostalgia in every bite. My sun-dried Amla candies are made just like Daadi-Naani used to—pure, tangy, and packed with Vitamin C, without a single preservative.
A beautiful presentation of our Chatpati Amla Candy. This video shows the candy served in a bowl and in its transparent packaging, highlighting its natural colour and texture.
About Healthy & Tasty Amla Candies
Whether you pick our sugar-dusted sweet version or the tangy Chatpati masala coating, you will notice the difference of a slow, sun-dried process. Because I keep them completely free from artificial additives, they retain that authentic, slightly chewy texture that makes them a healthy snack to keep on your desk or in your bag.
Why Amla?
Amla (Indian Gooseberry) is a true superfood, a fact our elders knew long before it became a health trend. My mother-in-law always insisted that a daily dose of Amla was the secret to good digestion and immunity. I carry that wisdom forward by making these candies exactly the way she taught me—slowly and with patience.
Our Process
There are no shortcuts in my kitchen. Every batch is:
- Hand-cleaned: Every gooseberry is inspected before processing.
- Sun-Dried: We use traditional drying methods to remove moisture while keeping the fruit texture intact and chewy.
- Preservative-Free: No artificial colours or chemical preservatives are used. Just fruit, sugar, and the spices you’d find in any home pantry.
Choosing Your Flavour
- Sweet Amla Candy: Coated in a light dusting of powdered sugar, these are perfect for those who want a simple, sweet treat. Kids love these as a natural candy alternative.
- Chatpati Amla Candy: This is the local favourite. We coat these in a blend of rock salt, black pepper, and secret spices. It’s the perfect mouth freshener after a meal or a tangy kick when you’re feeling bored.
How to Store
These come in compact, sealed jars that are travel-friendly. Keep them away from moisture to maintain that chewy texture. Because we don’t use preservatives, they are best enjoyed fresh, though they have a great shelf life when stored properly.
