Make your Gruhapravesam auspicious with custom coconut leaf arches and fresh floral gateways designed for your Bengaluru home. 🌟💐
A traditional housewarming entrance arch. This design is built with a frame of woven coconut leaves, adorned with banana trees, and decorated with garlands of roses and jasmine for an auspicious welcome.
This video shows the detail of a traditional entrance pandal. The roof is made of woven leaves, and the structure is decorated with colorful flower garlands and hanging mango leaves, all signs of a warm welcome.
A very traditional and eco-friendly entrance for a family ceremony. The entire structure, including the pillars covered in coconuts and the roof made of leaves, is crafted from natural materials.
This video showcases another style of a traditional welcome gate. The structure is made of woven leaves and decorated with a beautiful valance of red and white flowers, perfect for welcoming guests to a celebration.
I can also handle very large-scale entrance decorations for community or temple events. This video shows a few examples of grand arches, combining printed flex banners with extensive fresh flower arrangements.
About this collection
When we build a housewarming entrance, it is not just about the final look. The structural integrity of the Thennai Olai (woven coconut leaf) frame is critical, especially when we mount heavy marigold garlands. We build these structures on-site to match your specific doorway dimensions, ensuring the arch stays secure and looks clean from the first morning ritual to the final guest departure.
Why We Focus on On-Site Craftsmanship
Many decorators use pre-fabricated kits, but for a true Gruhapravesam, that doesn't always fit the aesthetic or the dimensions of a Bengaluru home. We prefer building the base structures on-site. By using fresh Thennai Olai (woven coconut leaves), we ensure the green color is vibrant and the texture is authentic, rather than relying on plastic or factory-made alternatives.
The Materials That Matter
- Banana Trees & Foliage: We source full-sized banana trees to anchor the pillars, symbolizing prosperity for your new beginning. We secure these with heavy-duty wiring that remains hidden behind thick garlands.
- Fresh Garlands: We use a mix of Orange and Yellow Marigolds with Jasmine or Roses for the fragrance. Because we source these fresh, we handle the logistics of getting them to your location at the exact right time so they don't wilt before the ceremony begins.
- Lighting & Details: For evening functions, we integrate subtle LED lighting that highlights the weave of the coconut leaves without overpowering the traditional look.
Our Process
We don't just show up and hang items. We check every prop, flower, and electrical connection before we leave our workshop. If your entrance requires custom brass lamps (Kuthu Vilakku) or specific floral patterns for the pooja room, we plan that alongside the main entrance arch. Quality takes time, and we prefer to do it right the first time so you can focus on welcoming your guests. Appude event success avuthundi (Only then is the event a real success).
