Stop looking for shortcuts. Master the core of Jiu-Jitsu—guard retention and passing—with expert coaching that turns movements into muscle memory.

Watch Coach Sid break down a complex sweep to back-take sequence. What looks complicated is a beautiful flow of off-balancing, transitions, and taking the back to set up the choke. This is the art we practice.

There is always another option. Here, Coach Sid demonstrates a head and arm sweep variation for when a back roll isn't possible. It's all about elbow control and using your opponent's base against them.

Mental work is done, now it's time for physical hard work. Coach Beasty drills guard passing at a high pace, emphasizing constant movement and attacking the weak side. This is how you build a relentless passing game.

Details make champions. Coach Sid breaks down a specific technique, ensuring every student understands the precision required for effective execution. This is the level of detail we bring to every class.

This is how you stay safe in a fight. A fundamental drill for beginners on controlling your opponent from a closed guard in an MMA context. Learn to manage distance, control their arms, and prevent strikes.

Coach Tarun Yadav demonstrates a high-level triangle to armbar transition in the Gi. This is an advanced attack for our experienced members, showing how to chain submissions and finish the fight.

Learning never stops on the mats. Coach Sid explains the details of a specific guard position, then the students immediately test it in live rolls. We teach, we drill, we apply.

How to beat a strong grip when your guard is being passed. Coach Sid shows how to use a cross frame and leverage to break the opponent's control and recover your guard. This is a crucial no-gi defensive skill.

A student works on the guard recovery drill under Coach Sid's instruction. We focus on using the opponent's grip as a hook to create space and turn a bad position into an attack, like this tripod sweep setup.

The first thing you learn is how to fall. A breakdown of the break fall and technical stand-up, two of the most important fundamental movements in BJJ and MMA for safety and getting back to your feet.

About The Art of Jiu-Jitsu: Technique & Drills

Most gyms just show you a move and walk away. We don't. Our classes break down complex flows—like guard recovery and passing—until you understand the mechanics behind every grip and transition. Whether you are prepping for MMA or just want a technical challenge, we focus on the 'why' behind the technique so you can actually apply it when it counts.

The Foundation of the Fight

Jiu-Jitsu is endless. Anaconda, D’arce, leg locks—it’s easy to get lost in the noise. At Crosstrain, we simplify the art. We believe that 80% of your game is built on guard retention and passing. If you can control the ground, you control the fight. That’s why our curriculum is built from the ground up, starting with fundamental movements like break falls and shoulder rolls to ensure your safety before we ramp up the intensity.

Gi vs. No-Gi

We train both. Step onto the mats in a Gi for that classic, tactical chess match where grips and lapels dictate the pace. Or, swap the Gi for a rash guard and shorts in our No-Gi sessions, focusing on speed, body mechanics, and scrambles. No-Gi is the pure ground game, essential for anyone interested in BJJ for MMA.

The Crosstrain Standard

This isn't a fitness studio; it’s a fight club. When you train with us, you are expected to drill, spar, and learn. Our Saturday sessions are where iron sharpens iron. It’s not about winning in practice; it’s about testing your limits, keeping calm in chaos, and refining your technique under pressure. Whether you are in our Sainik Farm, Noida, or Faridabad locations, the grind is the same. Bring your discipline, leave your ego at the door, and let’s work.
