You do not need to worry about posing. In my Borivali studio, I guide you through gentle, natural movements that emphasize the connection between you, your partner, and your older children. We keep the atmosphere relaxed, ensuring there is plenty of time for feeding breaks and outfit changes, so you never feel rushed while celebrating this new chapter.
The journey to becoming a parent is a story in itself. My goal is to capture more than just a growing bump; I want to freeze the specific dynamics of your family—the way a big brother looks at his mother, the anticipation in a father’s stance, and the quiet joy of a home about to grow.
My Approach to Maternity Portraits
I believe in honest documentation. When you arrive at my Borivali West studio, the space is set up to feel private and comfortable. We avoid stiff, traditional posing. Instead, I focus on candid interactions. If you feel awkward in front of the camera, that is perfectly normal. I guide you with simple prompts that allow you to interact naturally, resulting in portraits that feel authentic to who you are.
Studio vs. Outdoor Sessions
Depending on your preference, we can create your maternity story in two ways:
- Studio Portraits: My Borivali studio provides a controlled, minimalist environment. This is ideal for focusing entirely on emotion, light, and your family's bond without external distractions. I have a selection of premium maternity gowns available for your use, and the studio is equipped with private areas for feeding or changing.
- Outdoor Golden Hour: If you prefer nature, we can head to a Mumbai beach or park. We work strictly during the golden hour (sunrise or sunset) to utilize the soft, warm light that makes these portraits feel timeless and ethereal.
Involving the Whole Family
I encourage you to include your partner and existing children in the session. As seen in my work, capturing the soon-to-be big brother or sister is often the highlight of the shoot. It adds a layer of depth to your memories, documenting the transition from one chapter to the next.
