About Maternity & New Beginnings
I do not believe in stiff poses that leave you exhausted. For our session, we will stick to natural movements—walking through a garden or sharing a quiet moment at home—while I use soft window light or the golden hour glow. It is more about how you feel than how you look, and I am there to catch those fleeting expressions of anticipation without any awkward instructions.
Documenting the months before your little one arrives is about honoring the change. Whether we are in the comfort of your home or at a quiet garden in Mumbai, my focus remains on your comfort. I prioritize directed candid photography, giving you simple, playful prompts that help you forget the camera is there.
We will discuss clothing colors beforehand to ensure you stand out against the greenery or home decor. I typically recommend soft pastels or solid neutrals that do not distract from the emotion. If you have older siblings or pets, please bring them along. Including them makes the narrative richer and more authentic.
I shoot using natural light to keep the mood airy and soft. For evening sessions, I use off-camera flash to create those dramatic, glowing silhouettes that contrast perfectly with the softer daylight images. You get a mix of high-resolution color images and emotive black and white edits that stand the test of time.
Wondering what to wear or how much time you need? A standard lifestyle session takes 2 to 3 hours, leaving plenty of room for breaks. Since Mumbai weather can be tricky, we keep our plans flexible, especially for expecting mothers who need to move at their own pace.
