This is a preview of the exercises you will master during my Level 1 Certification program. We go beyond just the movement to study the biomechanics behind every pose, from foundational mat work to advanced prop integration.

This is the Roll Up Challenge, a fantastic flow that tests core strength, spinal articulation, and mobility. In the course, we break down complex movements like this into manageable steps.

Learning the Roll Up can be challenging, so I've broken it down into clear, sequential steps. This is how we approach teaching complex exercises in the certification program.

This video showcases a few beginner level exercises you'll learn, including Rolling Like a Ball, Half Roll Back, and Spine Twist. These are fundamental for building core control.

A demonstration of several classic mat exercises, including the Single Leg Stretch, Obliques, and Shoulder Bridge. You'll learn the proper form, breathing, and cueing for each.

This video demonstrates exercises in a quadruped or all-fours position, such as Single Leg Extension and Swimming. These are excellent for building back extensor strength and core stability.

This video shows the progression from a preparatory exercise to a more advanced version. We emphasize a layered approach to teaching, ensuring clients build strength safely.

Here we demonstrate the beginner and intermediate versions of side-lying work, like Side Bend Prep. You'll learn how to modify and progress exercises for different fitness levels.

About this collection

In my Level 1 certification, we don't just teach you how to perform a Roll Up or Shoulder Bridge; we analyze why they work. You will learn to identify common movement compensations in your students and understand how to use specific verbal and tactile cues to correct them instantly, rather than just waiting for the next repetition.

Becoming a Pilates instructor is not about memorizing a sequence of moves. It is about understanding the human body in motion. In this course, I break down the entire Mat Pilates repertoire into teachable, measurable steps. Whether it is a simple Spine Twist or a complex leg pull front prep, we focus on the anatomical purpose of the movement.

Why This Method Matters

My approach is rooted in clinical practice. When you teach a class, your students will have different limitations—tight hamstrings, weak core stability, or recovering from surgery. If you only know how to perform an exercise, you cannot help them safely. You will learn how to apply the 'progression' model shown in the images here: starting with a preparatory move to build foundational strength before advancing to more challenging variations. We cover extensive prop usage, including mini balls and magic circles, to add resistance and stability.

Curriculum Highlights

  • Biomechanics & Anatomy: Deep dive into how joints and muscles function during Pilates.
  • Cueing Technique: How to articulate your instructions so students actually understand what to engage.
  • Hands-On corrections: Learning the line between a helpful assist and a dangerous adjustment.
  • Class Design: How to structure a flow that is both effective and safe for your specific audience.

We hold in-person intensive workshops at my Jayanagar studio in Bengaluru, as well as periodic sessions in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad, and Jaipur. If you are not based in these cities, our online-hybrid model provides the same level of academic rigor and practical feedback. This program is designed for physiotherapists, yoga teachers, and dedicated enthusiasts who want to turn their passion for movement into a legitimate, science-based teaching career. If you are ready to stop guessing and start teaching, this is where you begin.

I’m Dr. Aditi. I don’t believe in crash courses because your students deserve more than someone who just memorized a list of moves. In my certification, I teach you the anatomy and biomechanics behind every exercise so you can teach with confidence and real authority.
