Art that stands the test of time. Whether you are looking for the spiritual depth of a traditional Kerala mural or the timeless warmth of a custom oil portrait, these pieces are crafted to be passed down through generations.

Here I am in my studio, adding the final touches to a commissioned oil portrait. Working with oils allows me to build rich layers and create a truly lifelike and enduring piece of art.

The finished Kerala mural style painting of Jesus as the Good Shepherd. This style is characterized by its warm colors, bold outlines, and stylized natural elements like the clouds, flowers, and birds.

The Jesus mural painting, framed and displayed in a home setting. This shows how a traditional art form can bring a sense of peace and beauty to a modern space.

A work in progress shot of the Jesus mural. Here you can see the initial watercolor washes being applied over the detailed ochre line drawing, which is a key step in the traditional mural process.

The framed digital painting, seen here with my curious dog. This portrait was a commission, and I focused on creating a soft, painterly effect to honor the subject.

About this collection

Every oil portrait or mural I create is a slow process of layering and detail. You get a mid-stage check-in so we can ensure the likeness and color palettes are spot on, and I finish every canvas piece with a professional protective varnish that keeps the art safe from dust and humidity for years to come.

Art Built to Last

When I work on heirloom pieces, I am not just painting a picture. I am creating something that will hang in your home for decades. Whether it is an oil portrait capturing a family member or a traditional Kerala mural, the focus is on permanence and depth.

My Process

  • The Mural Approach: I use the traditional Kerala mural style which relies on vibrant, warm colors and bold, stylized outlines. This technique is perfect for bringing a sense of peace to a space, often featuring spiritual or natural motifs.
  • Oil & Canvas: For portraits, I work on gallery-wrapped cotton canvas. This process takes 2 to 4 weeks because oil paints need time to layer and cure properly. It is a slow, methodical approach, but it ensures the texture and richness of the colors remain stable over time.
  • Consultation: We start by discussing your home decor and lighting. This ensures the color palette of the painting feels like a natural extension of your living space rather than an afterthought.

Preservation

Because these are heirlooms, I treat them as such. Every canvas commission is finished with two coats of varnish to protect against UV rays and moisture. If you are in Bangalore, Mysore, or anywhere across Karnataka, I ensure the packaging is secure so the art reaches you in perfect condition. If you have a specific story or a loved one you want to immortalize, let's talk about the best medium to make that happen.
