Creative Experiments & Artistic Explorations
Art is about play and exploration. Here, I share the work that happens when I set aside commissions to experiment with new mediums and ideas.
A process video of a scribble art portrait. This technique involves building up an image from a chaotic web of continuous lines, finding form and feature within the abstract marks.
A fun DIY glass painting project with a friend. We decorated these bottles with sun and moon motifs, showing that creativity can be a fun, shared activity.
A short, experimental frame by frame animation. This simple line drawing comes to life and then shatters, a quick study in motion and digital animation.
A short animation I created during the pandemic, encouraging everyone to be a hero by wearing a mask. It's a simple message conveyed through basic, hand drawn animation.
A painting in my sketchbook capturing a priceless memory of friends sitting on a beach under a starry sky. I used acrylics to create the vibrant sunset and deep blue night.
A shot of the beach memory painting in progress, with my paints and palette nearby.
Another view of the finished sketchbook painting, held up against some greenery.
About this collection
These pieces are where I push my own boundaries. When I work on a scribble art portrait, I am building form out of a web of continuous lines, finding the subject within the chaos. It is a slow, meditative process that helps me disconnect and return to my commissions with a fresher perspective.
Every experiment here is a step in my journey to understand art. Whether it is a frame-by-frame animation I made to share a message, or glass painting on a bottle with a friend, these are the moments that fuel my main work.
I believe in the idea of 'sothiddyeni, sathilla' (I am tired, not dead) when it comes to long projects. Sometimes, a piece takes forever, but the act of making it is the reward. You will see studies from my travel sketchbook, where I capture the feeling of Varkala beach or the greenery of Karnataka, and digital drawings that later evolve into my custom caricature services.
These experiments inform everything I do. When you look at my murals or oil paintings, you are seeing the result of these hours spent playing with color, texture, and light. If you have an idea that feels a bit wild or different, these experiments are proof that I am always ready to try something new to bring your story to life.
