About Learn With Us: Skills & Safety
We do not just teach you to climb; we focus on the mechanics that keep you safe. In every session, you will learn how to properly spot a partner, manage ropes, and position your feet for balance, all while using top-tier gear like La Sportiva shoes and Petzl safety equipment provided by us.
When you join a CLAW workshop, you are not just getting a lesson; you are joining a movement. Whether you are interested in indoor bouldering sessions or hitting the natural crags at Dhauj or Ramanagara, we prioritize the technical details that actually matter.
Safety is the foundation of every session. We do not just show you where to put your hands. We run through specific drills, like how to fall safely on mats, how to properly spot a climbing partner, and the mechanics of flagging to keep your balance. If you are new to roped climbing, we will guide you through tying in with a figure-eight knot and managing the belay device. We use reliable, UIAA-certified equipment, including Petzl helmets and harnesses and La Sportiva shoes, so you can focus on the movement rather than worrying about the gear.
Beyond the technique, we focus on the mental game. Climbing is often about managing fear as much as it is about physical strength. In our post-climb circles, we talk about beta sharing, how to read a route, and how to stay confident when you are high off the ground. We partner with premium gyms and use high-quality Friction Labs chalk to ensure every session is consistent and comfortable. If you have been hesitant to start because climbing feels technical or intimidating, this is your sign to show up. No experience is needed, and you will always have a group of women cheering you on.
