About Roped Climbing: Reaching New Heights
We know that fear of heights or worrying about knots can be a barrier, so we start with the absolute basics. Whether you are at an indoor gym or a natural crag, we guide you through every step of belaying and tying in, ensuring you have the support you need to push past your own limits.
Moving from bouldering to roped climbing adds a new dimension to your practice. While bouldering is about short, intense bursts, roped climbing is about endurance, communication, and trust. Our sessions teach you the essential skills of the sport, including how to read complex routes, use your harness correctly, and manage the rope system.
Safety First
Safety is the foundation of everything we do. Our team leaders guide you through proper belay techniques and reliable knot-tying like the figure-eight. We use certified Petzl harnesses and dynamic ropes to keep you secure, whether you are climbing in a partner gym or testing your skills on natural rock at locations like Dhauj.
The CLAW Difference
We are an NGO, not just a service provider. We want you to feel confident enough to lead your own climbs eventually, but until then, we provide a safe, non-judgmental space to learn. You do not need a partner to join. You will meet other climbers in the session who are looking to learn just like you. It is about the community, the beta sharing during post-climb circles, and the joy of watching your friends conquer a route they thought was impossible.
Indoor and Outdoor
We bridge both worlds. Indoor sessions help you master movement without weather constraints, while our outdoor festivals take those skills to real rock. Everything we teach is beginner-friendly and focused on making the outdoors accessible for every woman.
