This intricate architectural sculpture, created by a student in our foundation program, tells a story of a journey through mountains and valleys. It's a testament to the power of clay to create miniature worlds.
These unique composite forms, created by our foundation students, explore the idea of deconstruction and reassembly. Each piece challenges conventional forms and showcases a unique artistic perspective.

A whimsical, house like sculpture by one of our foundation students. The piece plays with form and expectation, featuring multiple arched windows and a bird shaped chimney.
Inspired by Salvador Dali's "The Persistence of Memory," this melting clock sculpture by a foundation student captures the fluidity of time in the solid medium of clay.
This powerful sculpture, "The Arm of a Western Hoolock Gibbon," was created by a foundation student to raise awareness about endangered species and habitat loss.
About this collection
This gallery captures the transition from basic technique to conceptual expression. Each sculpture highlights the skills our students master, including wheel throwing and complex hand building, moving beyond simple pottery to tell deliberate stories in clay.
The pieces showcased here are the result of our foundation course, where students spend months moving from functional basics to complex artistic concepts. Our goal is to push students past the 'dabbling' phase and into professional production. You will notice techniques like intricate piercing, layered underglaze shading, and structural composition that our students develop through rigorous studio practice.
Every project here eventually moves toward an 'Arangetram,' our student debut exhibition. This process ensures that students understand the full lifecycle of a ceramic piece: conceptualizing, preparing the clay body, mastering firing temperatures like Cone 6, and final surface treatment. These are not just hobby projects; they are the culmination of hours spent at our Koramangala facility, dealing with the realities of the kiln and the unpredictability of the material. Whether it is an architectural structure or a delicate hand-built form, each work shows how our students apply technical knowledge to articulate a narrative. If you are looking to build a similar portfolio or want to develop your own skill set, our studio provides the space, mentorship, and equipment to guide you through that journey.
Clay Station
We believe that clay is a medium for storytelling. At our Koramangala studio, we foster a community where beginners and emerging artists alike can find their voice, learn the craft, and celebrate their growth through real-world exhibitions.
