Grand Entrances and Lobbies That Make a Statement
Your home’s story begins at the door. I design foyers and lobbies that blend architectural drama with refined, welcoming warmth to set the tone for your space.
For this Gurgaon residence, I designed a breathtaking foyer around a double-height cascading chandelier. This statement piece immediately establishes a sense of luxury and grandeur, drawing the eye upward and filling the voluminous space.
This view from the top of the stairs shows how the foyer connects to the main living areas. The glass railings and partitions maintain an open and airy feel, allowing the light from the chandelier to permeate the adjoining spaces.
The entrance corner is designed to be a moment of artistic welcome. A sculptural, gold-finished console table and mirror are paired with a gallery wall and inlay flooring, creating a curated vignette that speaks to the home's sophisticated style.
Looking down from the staircase, you can see how the black-framed glass partitions create a visual link to the living area. This design choice provides separation while maintaining a sense of connection and flow between spaces.
This lounge area, adjacent to the main entrance, is designed for art and sophistication. It features custom chevron flooring, a mix of plush green and grey seating, and a statement crane artwork, creating an elegant waiting or reception space.

About this collection
When I design an entrance, I don't just clear a path. I use sightlines and light to create a moment of stillness the moment you step inside, whether it's a double-height chandelier drawing the eye upward or a custom console. By using glass partitions and precise inlay flooring, I ensure the transition from the outside world into your private sanctuary feels intentional, not rushed.
Designing the First Impression
The foyer is often the most overlooked space in a property, yet it carries the most weight. It is the transition point, a psychological decompression zone between the bustle of the outside world and the peace of your private space.
My Approach to Entrance Architecture
- Vertical Volume: For homes with height, I don't settle for standard lighting. I work with double-height voids to install cascading chandeliers that force the eye upward, immediately establishing a sense of scale and grandeur.
- Visual Permeability: To keep a space feeling open yet private, I use black-framed glass partitions. These act as subtle filters, allowing light to flow between the foyer and living areas while keeping the zones distinct.
- Texture as a Statement: From chevron inlay flooring that guides your movement to textured paint and classic mouldings on the walls, I use materials to define the vibe before you even reach the living room.
The 'Subtle Flex'
Luxury isn't about being flashy; it is about the details that demand a second look. A sculptural console table against a gallery wall or the warm glow of hidden cove lighting creates an atmosphere of 'subtle flex energy.' It is about pieces that stand on their own as art but function as part of the daily flow.
