We are not just a shelter; we are a community. From our resilient resident animals to the partners and donors who keep our mission alive, this is the heart of what we do at Charlie's Animal Rescue Centre.

This is the story of Charlie, the dog who started it all. His journey from a paralyzed pup to a happy, loved dog inspired the creation of our rescue center. His legacy of resilience and love lives on in every animal we save.

We have been lucky to see the kind and compassionate side of cricketer Virat Kohli up close during his visits to CARE. Here he is spending a quiet moment with one of our resident dogs.

We are proud to be one of 25 NGOs nationwide collaborating on the Ratan Tata Pet Donation Drive. Joining forces with other organizations allows us to make an even bigger impact for our four legged friends.

We had a wonderful time at the launch of Pup Cups at Maverick & Farmer coffee. Events like these help us raise awareness and connect with the pet loving community in Bangalore.

On World Environment Day, our resident dog Shadow has a simple message: Plant trees and adopt pets. Here he is, enjoying a moment in a planter, reminding us of the simple joys of nature and companionship.

About Our CARE Family: Supporters & Shelter Life

We recently faced a major crisis when Bangalore's heatwaves made our metal-roofed shelter unbearable for our recovering animals. It took 10 lakhs to replace it with heat-absorbing puff sheets, and we couldn't have managed it alone. When we reached out, individual donors covered half the costs, and our long-term partners at The Hoomane Club stepped in to cover the rest. It is proof that when our family of supporters shows up, we can solve problems that once seemed impossible.

A rescue story begins. It started with an adoption notice for a Golden Retriever puppy. For this pet parent, it felt like a sign from the universe.
The heartbreaking reality. The puppy, Chinni, was found tied to a window, weak and malnourished. Her owner had been gone for months.
A new beginning. With lots of care, love, and proper vet visits, Chinni slowly began to heal and learned what it felt like to be safe and loved.
