Our Design Collaborations & Expo Showcases

Our presence at expos like iDAC and India Design is less about winning awards and more about measuring our pulse against the industry. When we showcased at iDAC in Mumbai, the goal wasn't to look pretty—it was to see how people interacted with the 3D textures, fluted upholstery, and metal inlays in real-time. Do the seams hold up? Does the hand-embroidery feel authentic? We need that immediate, raw reaction.

Collaborations, like our 'Monvengers' project with architect Karan Desai, are how we push our limits. Karan challenged us to fuse superhero aesthetics with intricate monster collections, forcing us to rethink how we handle CNC-cut metal inlays and mixed-media cladding. It’s messy, it involves intense prototyping, and it pushes our artisans at the Raghuvanshi Mills workshop to learn new techniques—like embedding custom metal grooves into leatherite.

We also love the direct connection with the local design communities in places like Hyderabad and Mumbai. Seeing visitors at our booths run their hands over our panels and ask 'how is this made?' is the best validation we get. It’s part of the 'Modern Karigari' philosophy—blending traditional, slow-craft skills with the precision of modern design.
