Shooting in urban environments requires timing to avoid the chaos of the city. We scout locations like the Gateway or local murals to time our sessions perfectly, usually aiming for early mornings. This approach keeps the frame clean of crowds and gets you that epic backdrop without you feeling like a spectacle.
Shooting in a concrete jungle is different from a quiet beach. For our urban and iconic shoots, we look for textures—the peeling paint of an old wall, the reflection in a glass facade, or the vibrant patterns of a street mural. These elements add grit and history to your love story, making it feel current and grounded in the city you call home.
Logistics matter here. Mumbai traffic is real, and the light moves fast. We almost always schedule these shoots for sunrise. This isn't just to catch the golden hour. It is to ensure we get iconic spots empty before the city wakes up. You do not want a hundred random people walking behind you in your portraits. It allows us to work faster and you to feel more relaxed.
Regarding styling, keep it smart-casual. If we are shooting near a grand monument, a chic dress or a crisp traditional outfit creates a beautiful contrast against the urban background. If we are shooting in a busy area, wear something you can move in comfortably. The best urban shots happen when you are walking, talking, and genuinely laughing, not standing still looking at the lens.
