DJing is 20 percent mixing and 80 percent community. My journey from a B-boy in 2014 to a club DJ in Bengaluru taught me that your network is your net worth. Whether you are learning equipment basics or prepping for a battle, you cannot do it in isolation.

Why Community Matters

• Mentorship: You need someone who has been there, done that, and seen the pitfalls. My own path was shaped by the brothers who guided me through the early days.
• Visibility: In this industry, who you know is as important as the tracks you play. Building bonds with promoters, other DJs, and venue owners is how you move from house parties to club residencies.
• Real Experience: You can watch a hundred tutorials, but standing next to a legend while they control a crowd teaches you more than any video. I focus on bringing my students into the fold so they understand the energy of a room.

My Roots

I started as Bboy-Cal, dancing in circles and soaking in the culture. That foundation is why I treat DJing as a lifestyle, not a gig. From the grind of studio sessions to the rush of a live event, this is the environment you need to immerse yourself in to succeed.
