About Timeless Indian Artistry
My approach to traditional artistry is all about precision and ensuring a rich, deep stain. I focus on high-density patterns like 'jaali' (grid) and intricate peacock motifs, ensuring every line is sharp enough to stand out in photos. I use 100% organic, home-mixed henna to make sure the colour develops beautifully, giving you that classic, dark finish that traditional mehndi is famous for.
Why Traditional Motifs Matter
Traditional Indian mehndi is more than just patterns; it is about storytelling through symbols. Whether it is a peacock representing grace, a lotus for purity, or classic paisleys that symbolize good fortune, these motifs have been part of our celebrations for generations. I love blending these historic elements with modern precision.
The Process: From Cone to Stain
I don't believe in using chemical-laden cones. My henna is home-mixed using 100% organic ingredients. This ensures that when I work on your hands, you get a beautiful design that smells great and, more importantly, stains dark.
- Application: I focus on symmetry, especially when doing heavy bridal or festive work.
- Sealant: After the design is complete, I apply a lemon-sugar syrup sealant. This stops the henna from flaking off too early, allowing the paste to sit longer on your skin.
- Stain Maximization: I always provide a quick guide on how to maintain your stain (using clove smoke or balms) so your design stays vibrant for days after the event.
