Featured Oil Portrait Collection
A look into my favourite pieces, where every brushstroke is a bit of therapy. ✨ From wedding memories to spiritual art, here is the work that means the most to me.
A custom wedding portrait is more than a painting; it's the story of a cherished moment captured forever on canvas. I am holding a recently completed commission piece, showing the scale and emotional impact of a handmade oil portrait, perfect for an anniversary or wedding gift.
This is a finished oil painting of Lord Krishna on a circular canvas. I focused on creating a serene expression and vibrant colors in his attire, including the detailed red turban and peacock feather, set against a soft green and yellow background.
Here is the final reveal of a custom pet portrait of a happy Golden Retriever. I truly enjoyed capturing the joyful expression and the soft texture of its fur, making it a piece of art that celebrates a furry family member.
This video shows my process of painting a Ganesha artwork, from layering the initial yellow and orange oil paints to carefully applying kundan stone embellishments with tweezers for a three dimensional effect. It highlights my mixed media approach to spiritual art.
A completed oil portrait of the character Walter White from Breaking Bad, painted on canvas sheet. This piece showcases my ability to capture a likeness and complex expression through realistic detail, from the texture of the skin to the fabric of the clothing.
This is a finished commission of a couple's portrait, showing them in a candid, happy moment dressed in traditional attire. I focused on the soft pastel colors of their outfits and the genuine connection between them, creating a beautiful keepsake.
A close up video showing the detailed brushwork involved in painting the intricate jewelry of a bride in a wedding portrait. I use a very fine brush to carefully render the individual stones and patterns, which is a meditative part of my process.
About Featured
People often ask if I can rush a commission for a last-minute gift, but my oil portraits simply do not work that way. Because I use the grid method and apply multiple layers of paint to capture every detail, the process takes weeks, not days. If you are planning a portrait for a special date, it is best to reach out at least a month in advance so I can give your piece the time it needs.
Painting is my therapy. It keeps me sane, and I am obsessed with the process of mixing colors and watching a blank canvas slowly come to life. When you see my work, you are seeing a result of 48-hour stretches where I am locked in my little art bubble, focusing on everything from the texture of a bridal lehenga to the spark in a pet's eyes.
I rely on the grid method for high facial accuracy, ensuring the likeness is spot on before I start the long layering process with Camlin Artist Grade oil paints. It is a slow, meditative journey. Whether I am working on a spiritual piece with 3D kundan stones or a couple's portrait, I never rush. Each painting gets a clear varnish finish to protect it against yellowing, ensuring it lasts for years as a keepsake.
Why Choose Oil for Your Portrait?
- Depth and Luminosity: Unlike other mediums, oil paint gives skin tones and fabrics a realistic depth that catches the light beautifully.
- Built to Last: With proper drying time and protective varnish, these paintings are meant to stay in your family for generations.
- The Personal Touch: I love capturing the tiny quirks—the jewelry patterns, the fabric textures, or the exact smile you remember.
Since I work from my studio in Mumbai, I ship these across India. Each piece is packed between hardboards or in a safety tube to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition. Sabr rakh, woh sabki sunta hai. It is a reminder I keep in my studio while working—patience is part of the art.
