Pop Culture & Reimagined Classics Art
Mixing the old with the new is where I have the most fun. Whether it is a classical scene with a modern twist or your favorite pop culture icon, I love bringing these playful ideas to life on canvas. ✨
The 'Death of Socrates (hypebeast edition)' on the easel in my studio. This large-scale oil painting blends classical art with contemporary brands like Balenciaga and Supreme.
A modern take on a traditional scene. This painting features a man in classic Indian attire with a modern Burberry scarf, standing next to milk cans and a KAWS companion figure, blending different worlds.
A tribute painting celebrating the artist Diljit Dosanjh. This piece is a collage of different moments from his career, capturing his vibe in a single canvas.
A fun commission piece featuring Heihei, the rooster from Disney's 'Moana'. It's a quirky and colorful painting that adds a touch of humor to the client's bathroom wall.
A surrealist-inspired commission painting. This piece features a monarch butterfly on a desert road leading towards a pink moon, creating a dreamlike and imaginative landscape.
About this collection
I mostly work with high-quality oil and acrylic paints to get those rich textures and colors just right. If you have a specific scene or character in mind, we will chat about the concept first, and I will share work-in-progress updates so you know exactly how the painting is shaping up before I finalize the details.
People often ask me why I like painting hypebeast versions of classical art or putting anime characters into unexpected settings. Honestly, it is just about making art that feels relatable and fun to live with. You do not need to be an art historian to appreciate a painting, and you certainly should not be bored by the art on your walls.
When we start a commission, I usually ask for your why behind the idea. Is it a gift for someone who loves a specific show, or a statement piece for your living room? Once we align on the concept, I sketch out the composition. For these detailed pieces, I use premium oils or acrylics on stretched canvas. Oils are my go-to for that depth and longevity, while acrylics are great for bold, vibrant pops of color.
Because these pieces are custom, the timeline usually runs about 2-3 weeks. I make sure to apply a professional-grade varnish once the paint cures, which protects your art from dust and UV light. If you are ordering a large-scale piece, it will ship rolled in a tube to keep it safe, and I will guide you on how to get it stretched locally. Let’s create something that makes you smile every time you walk past it. 🥹

I am Sanaya, and I basically paint to stay sane. Whether I am sketching live at an event or spending weeks on a large oil canvas, I am just trying to capture the stories that matter. If you want art that feels real rather than just decorative, I am your girl. 🫶🏻
