Sensory Art Classes for Ages 3.5 to 5
Where messy play meets early development. We focus on hands-on sensory exploration to build your child's confidence, motor skills, and love for art.
This vibrant swan was made entirely with playdough. Our sensory art classes for ages 3.5 to 5 focus on the process, allowing kids to squish, roll, and shape materials to build hand-eye coordination and self-expression.
Watch our youngest students bring paper caterpillars to life. This hands-on sensory activity is perfect for developing fine motor skills while having a blast with colors, shapes, and textures.
Our 4 to 6-year-olds had so much fun turning everyday vegetables into art supplies. Here they are, proudly showing off the tote bags they decorated using veggie printing, a perfect blend of creativity and resourcefulness.
Learning about famous artists starts early at our studio. Here, our sensory art class discusses the colorful world of David Hockney, exploring his playful landscapes and bold use of color in an interactive and engaging way.
Exploring textures, colors, and shapes is at the heart of our sensory art program. This young student proudly displays his mixed-media ladybug artwork, a project that combines painting with paper craft elements.
Every artwork is a story of creativity, focus, and joy. These two friends show off their underwater scenes, created using a mix of drawing and watercolor techniques perfect for their age group.
Little hands were hard at work creating these adorable penguin paintings. This project helped our young artists learn about shapes and color blending to bring their arctic scenes to life.
About this collection
At this age, your child does not need to copy a drawing; they need to explore. Whether it is squishing playdough or printing patterns with carved vegetables, every messy hand movement builds the fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination they will need for writing later. Our small batches ensure your child gets the guidance they need to feel confident in their own creative choices.
Our studio is designed for little hands and big imaginations. We believe art is a fundamental language for preschoolers, which is why our classes for 3.5 to 5-year-olds are intentionally designed to be experiential and supportive.
What to expect in a session
- Tactile Exploration: We use non-toxic, safe materials like playdough, clay, and sensory bins to engage their senses and spark curiosity.
- Motor Skill Building: Through activities like vegetable printing and paper tearing, children learn to control their grip and pressure, which is essential for developing pre-writing skills.
- Confidence through Expression: There is no wrong way to paint a flower or sculpt an animal. When a child sees their unique design on a tote bag or paper, it builds a sense of accomplishment that carries over into their other learning areas.
We keep our groups small, with only 4 to 8 students per batch, so that every child receives personal attention. We do not just teach art; we provide a safe, messy space where your child can experiment with color, textures, and composition. Our curriculum is grounded in early childhood developmental goals, ensuring that every session supports focus, patience, and creative problem-solving. Whether it is their first time with a brush or they are already little explorers, this is their space to create, learn, and grow.
