About Behind the Scenes: Our Command Center
When the house lights dim, our consoles light up. We don’t just monitor tech; we actively call cues for lighting, video, and audio in real-time, ensuring the technical flow matches the presenter's delivery down to the second.
Our Command Center is where the technical blueprint becomes reality. We operate as the operational backbone for major agencies, ensuring that the complex layers of an event—lighting states, video playback, and audio transitions—run synchronously.
Why FOH and Show Calling Matter
Front of House (FOH) management isn't just about mixing sound; it is about maintaining a constant state of readiness. Our show callers are stationed at the master console, holding the Run Sheet (show flow). Every movement on stage, from a speaker's walk-on to a digital wall-break, is triggered by a call from our desk.
Technical Expertise
We manage the critical technical intersections:
- Cue Management: Synchronizing physical reveals, like turntable movements or kabuki drops, with time-coded audio and visual sequences.
- Content Management: Handling multi-screen graphics, presentation decks (PPT/Keynote), and live feed overlays to prevent aspect ratio errors or file corruption.
- Crisis Control: Managing live fixes, such as switching to backup laptops during playback failure or adjusting mic levels for panelists without interrupting the session flow.
- Communication: Utilizing professional headset rigs to maintain an open loop between the Show Caller, Stage Managers, and technical departments, ensuring the event stays on schedule regardless of last-minute agenda changes.
Our role is to eliminate variables. By standardizing our approach to technical direction, we allow event producers to focus on creative vision while we ensure the execution is flawless, repeatable, and secure.
