About Dance Instruction & Workshops
Why Dance Feels Like Home to Me
Dance is more than steps - it’s how I connect with myself and others. Sometimes, I just let the music take over and everything else fades. I want you to feel that too, whether you’re a total beginner or already love to move.
Expression First: Abhinaya & Storytelling
I focus a lot on Abhinaya, which is all about facial expressions and telling stories through movement. We dive into the nine emotions (Navras) and learn how to make the audience feel what you’re feeling. It’s not just technique - it’s about making every performance real and alive.
Classes & Workshops for All
- Group classes for kids and adults, from basics to stage-ready. We cover Bharatnatyam, semi-classical, folk, Garba, and Bollywood.
- Performance opportunities for annual days and festivals. Certificates for progress, because every step counts.
- Expressive dance workshops for schools and groups, always interactive and open. I love working with students and making sessions fun.
Sitting Choreography: Dance for Everyone
This is my special offering. We use hand gestures (hastas), expressions, and upper body moves to tell stories while seated. Perfect for anyone who wants to focus on storytelling or has limited mobility. Bas dance karna hai! (Just gotta dance!)

My Story
Namaste! I'm Bijal. Dance and me, inseparable. I’ve twirled barefoot in Kedarnath rain, even did a thumka (hip move) in Gulmarg snow. Nature, sunsets, Mumbai ki hawa (Mumbai's breeze) - all make me dance. Dil toh baccha hai ji, so I let that happiness show. Proudly Indian, I love traditions but also love a little masti (fun). Life throws curveballs, I just smile and dance through it.
My Work
Dance Performances & Choreography - I do semi-classical Bollywood choreography, Bharatanatyam, Garba, Indian folk, and even sitting choreography for elders or anyone.
Impromptu & Expressive Acts - I love impromptu dance acts, letting emotions and music guide the moves. No stiff rules, just flow.
Storytelling Through Dance - Dance is my way to tell stories – Radha’s jealousy, Dassera’s meaning, or anything close to heart.
Teaching & Workshops - I teach kids and adults, run Indian folk dance workshops, and feel pure joy seeing my little Gopikas dance.
