I do not believe in off-the-rack perfection. Every piece here starts with a conversation and a sketch at my Karol Bagh studio. We take precise measurements to ensure that when you come in for your trial, the corset structure or lehenga flare sits exactly as you imagined, allowing us to make final adjustments before the intricate handwork is completed.
How We Build Your Ensemble
Creating a couture outfit is a collaborative process that happens in three distinct phases.
1. Concept and Sketching It starts with your story. Whether you have a vision for a specific silhouette or want to adapt a traditional piece into something modern, we sit down to sketch the design. We select fabrics based on your event, ensuring the material complements the embroidery style—be it raw silk for a traditional look or georgette for a flowing, Indo-Western ensemble.
2. Technical Structure Before a single bead is placed, we focus on the fit. For our corsets and structured gowns, we use specific construction techniques like internal boning and plastic casts to ensure the bodice defines your waist comfortably. This is the 'unseen' magic that makes our outfits move with you rather than against you.
3. The Trial and Final Handwork This is the most critical step. Once the basic structure is ready, you come in for a trial. We pin, tuck, and adjust to your exact measurements. Only after this, when we know the fit is flawless, do our artisans begin the final hand-placing of crystals, zardosi, and thread work. This ensures that the final product is not just beautiful, but perfectly tailored to your body.
