About Client Showcase
When I prep your saree, I use a specialized steam-pressing technique that secures the pleats without flattening the silk's natural volume. For heavy bridal Kanjivarams or delicate Banarasi silks, I reinforce the pinning hidden inside the folds, so your drape stays crisp and symmetric from the moment you put it on until the party ends.
The most common frustration with wearing a beautiful saree is the time and precision required to get the pleats sitting right. My pre-pleating service is designed to solve exactly that. I customize the pleat volume based on the fabric type—fluffy for lightweight silks to give them body, and sharper, flatter pleats for heavier weaves that need control.
Why Pre-Pleating Works
- Perfect Symmetry: I measure your specific height and waist to ensure the pleats fall correctly without any gaping or uneven edges.
- Travel-Ready: If you are traveling, my box-folding technique is a lifesaver. I fold the saree using strategic lines hidden within the pleats, allowing it to fit into a 12x14 inch space inside your suitcase without crushing the Zari work.
- Ready-to-Wear: Every saree is mounted on a wide-shouldered hanger or box-packed with protective covers. You simply step into the pre-pinned drape, adjust the pallu, and you are ready in under five minutes.
Handling Heavy Silks
Heavy Kanjivarams and Banarasi sarees are notorious for being bulky. I treat these with extra care, using rust-proof pins and targeted steam pressing to ensure the fabric remains manageable. Whether you are prepping for your Muhurtham, a destination wedding, or a festival, the goal is for you to focus on the event, not the fabric management. My studio in JP Nagar is always open if you want to drop your sarees off, or you can send them to me from anywhere in India.
