Jamming with Friends: Acoustic Duos & Trios for Events
When music is better shared. Whether it’s a house party or a corporate gathering, my duo and trio setups bring that extra layer of harmony and energy to your event.
There's no better feeling than when the crowd joins in and sings with you. This was a trio performance where we covered the classic 'Zara Zara', and the whole room became one voice. It’s this shared energy I love to create at house concerts and cafe gigs.
A spontaneous collaboration right outside the airport to celebrate a friend's wedding. This acoustic duo cover of 'Kabira' shows how music can happen anywhere, anytime.
Music is always better when shared. Here's a clip from a duo performance of 'Bol Na Halke'. Collaborating with other talented artists adds a unique flavor to my sets, perfect for creating a layered sound at private parties or corporate events.
A humble attempt at covering 'Sukoon' by the amazing Samar Mehdi. This cozy duo session captures the peaceful and intimate vibe of the song.
Collaborating on a cover of the beautiful song 'Panchhi Nadiya' from the movie Refugee. This acoustic duo setup is perfect for delivering soulful and melodic performances.
A fun and lighthearted duo cover of 'Dekho Na'. Jamming with other musicians is all about creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
An acoustic duo rendition of the timeless retro song 'Kabhi Kabhi'. This is the kind of classic Bollywood music I love to perform with a fellow musician.
About this collection
Adding a percussionist or keyboardist brings a whole new layer of energy to the performance. Since these setups require a bit more room to breathe and sound right, I always suggest we chat about your venue size first—usually, anything with over 25 guests needs a professional PA system to keep the sound balanced and clear.
There is a special kind of magic that happens when you jam with others. When it's just me and my guitar, it's about the raw story and the unplugged vibe. But when I bring in friends—whether it's a percussionist on the Cajon, a keyboardist, or a fellow vocalist—the music shifts. It becomes more dynamic, fuller, and honestly, just a lot of fun.
Finding the Right Setup
- The Duo: Perfect for cocktail hours or intimate get-togethers where you want live music that fills the room without overpowering the conversation. It’s a great balance of rhythm and melody.
- The Trio: If you have a larger crowd or want a more upbeat atmosphere for a corporate event or birthday bash, this is the way to go. We can add keys or drums to give it that 'live band' feel, while keeping the acoustic soul intact.
Why Live Collaborations?
Collaborating isn't just about volume; it's about chemistry. When we play, we feed off each other’s energy and the crowd’s vibe. We can switch from soulful, slow-tempo Bollywood tracks to upbeat rock numbers on the fly.
Important Logistics
Because these setups involve more gear, I need a little help from your side.
- Sound System: For any setup larger than a solo acoustic session, the venue must provide a professional PA system with at least three inputs (for our mics and instruments) and stage monitors.
- Space: We need enough room to set up our gear comfortably so we can move and interact with the crowd.
If you aren't sure what setup fits your event, just reach out. We can discuss your guest count, the vibe you’re going for, and we’ll figure out the best configuration together.
Badal Kashyap
I’m Badal. Music for me is a personal story, but when I bring in friends for a duo or trio set, those stories get new layers. We keep it raw and unplugged, perfect for when you want the music to be part of the vibe, not just background noise.
