This timing gives us the best chance to capture those quiet, candid hugs and belly laughs without worrying about harsh shadows, so your family can just play, run, and be themselves.

While my studio in Baramunda is perfect for classic portraits and controlled lighting, outdoor shoots allow for raw, spontaneous energy. My Approach to Outdoor Sessions
I want to capture your family's connection. Whether we head to a local park with lush greenery or catch the waves at a nearby beach, the goal is movement and interaction. I often encourage parents to play games with their little ones, or just walk together, so I can catch the candid moments—the way you look at each other, the way your child grips your finger, or that contagious laughter during a game of tag.
Practical Details
- Location: I cover locations within a 20km radius of my studio in Baramunda. If you have a favorite park or a specific spot that means something to your family, let me know.
- Timing: I almost always schedule these during the golden hour for the most beautiful, glowy light.
- Clothing: My biggest piece of advice is to keep it simple. Neutral, comfortable clothes look timeless, but wear what makes you feel like you. Comfort is the most important thing for a successful, stress-free shoot.
- Flexibility: With outdoor shoots, things might get a little messy. That is perfectly okay. My job is to document the day exactly as it happens.
