This is me, Deepthi! Dancing is my shortcut to happiness, and I've been lucky enough to share that joy through Azaya Dance Academy for over 6 years. Being a teacher and an artist is the best of both worlds.
This is our mission. We started Azaya in 2017 to share our love for belly dance and Tahitian dance. We are proud to be one of the leading academies in India and the first to introduce authentic Tahitian dance training in Bangalore.
A little more about my journey. I've been a belly dancer for over 10 years and have been lucky to train under master teachers and attend workshops with international artists. My goal is to keep learning and keep sharing this beautiful art form.

About Meet the Team
It is not just about the steps here, it is about the vibe we bring to the dance floor. Deepthi, our founder, has spent over a decade perfecting her craft under international masters to ensure that when you step into our studio, you are learning from someone who is as obsessed with authentic belly dance as she is with making you feel powerful.
Deepthi HM, the heart of Azaya Dance Academy, started this journey back in 2017 with a simple mission: create a judgment-free space where every woman, regardless of age or background, could fall in love with their body.
With over 10 years of personal experience in belly dance and 8 years of teaching, she brings a blend of traditional Oriental styles and high-energy Tahitian dance to Bangalore. She has consistently honed her skill, training with world-renowned artists like Sadie Marquardt and Aziza Mandi, ensuring that the techniques taught are both authentic and safe.
What you get at Azaya is not just a dance class, it is a happy place. Whether it is our weekly weekend sessions or specialized workshops, the focus remains on building strength, confidence, and a supportive community. We were the first to introduce authentic Tahitian dance training (Ori Tahiti) in Bangalore, and we take pride in mixing those classical roots with modern, fun fusion elements.
