Ayurveda isn't just a treatment, it is a way of living. Simple changes to your daily habits and nutrition can fundamentally shift how you feel, energy levels, and overall wellness.

Follow these simple Ayurvedic tips to stay cool and healthy during the summer. Hydrate yourself, eat fresh fruits like watermelon and mango, avoid spicy food, and apply cooling oils like coconut oil.

Feeling the heat? This guide shows you which fruits to eat to balance a fiery Pitta dosha. Sweet fruits like apples, pomegranates, and oranges are recommended, while sour fruits should be avoided.

To balance a Vata dosha, which is characterized by dryness and movement, favor sweet and nourishing fruits. This graphic shows which fruits like bananas, mangoes, and cherries to eat more of, and which unripe or sour fruits to avoid.

Did you know there are five types of Kapha dosha in the body, each with a unique function? This educational graphic explains Tarpaka, Bodhaka, Sleshaka, Avalambaka, and Kledaka Kapha, which govern everything from sensory perception to joint lubrication.

Meet Tulsi, the "Queen of Herbs." This graphic illustrates the many benefits of this sacred plant, including its ability to boost immunity, support lung health, improve digestion, and balance Vata and Kapha doshas.

About Ayurvedic Wisdom: Diet & Lifestyle

Before you overhaul your pantry based on general health trends, you need to identify your primary Dosha, whether Vata, Pitta, or Kapha. Eating the 'right' food for the wrong constitution can actually create imbalance rather than fixing it. Our BAMS-certified doctors perform a 15-minute Dosha analysis to tell you exactly which foods fuel your unique body type and which ones to avoid for long-term health.

Understanding Your Constitution

Ayurveda is not one-size-fits-all. Your body has a specific nature, and your diet should align with that. When we talk about Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, we are describing the three elemental forces that govern your physical and mental processes.

  • Vata (Air & Space): Governs movement and nervous system function. If you feel dry, anxious, or have irregular digestion, your Vata may be elevated.
  • Pitta (Fire & Water): Governs metabolism and transformation. Excess Pitta often manifests as inflammation, skin irritation, or irritability.
  • Kapha (Earth & Water): Governs structure and lubrication. An imbalance here can lead to lethargy, congestion, or weight gain.

Food as Medicine

Once you know your dominant Dosha, your daily habits become your primary preventative medicine. For instance, cooling foods like pomegranate and grapes are excellent for balancing Pitta during Bengaluru's summer heat, while grounding, cooked foods are necessary for Vata types.

We don't just provide generic diet charts. Our approach involves:

  • Pulse Diagnosis: A traditional assessment to determine your current state of balance.
  • Seasonal Regimens: Adjusting your intake based on the local climate, from the heavy monsoon season (Karkidaka Chikitsa) to seasonal transitions.
  • Root-Cause Correction: Moving away from 'band-aid' supplements and toward lifestyle shifts that address the digestion and metabolism directly.

Whether you are visiting our clinics in Kalyan Nagar, HSR Layout, or Jayanagar, our goal is to provide a roadmap that makes sense for your lifestyle. Ayurveda is about sustainability, not deprivation. When you understand your body, eating healthy becomes intuitive rather than a chore.
