Archery Coaching and Shooting Technique Training
From holding the bow to hitting the gold, we focus on the grind. Join our shooting line to master your form, build consistency, and find your flow on the range.
There is a unique energy on the shooting line as our archers train together. This video captures the focus and dedication that defines our club, where every athlete supports one another to improve with every arrow shot.
Dedication doesn't stop when the sun goes down. We offer evening and night practice sessions, allowing our athletes to train around their schedules. Here, a corporate group enjoys a focused archery session under the lights.
We use specific tools to perfect archery technique. An athlete uses a theraband to simulate the drawing motion, a key exercise for strengthening the back muscles and ensuring a smooth, powerful release.
About The Archer's Craft: On the Shooting Line
You don't just stand and shoot here. Our sessions are built around specific routines—we use therabands to fire up those drawing muscles before you touch a real bow. This prepares your body for the physical toll of competitive shooting, preventing injury and ensuring that your release remains smooth even when you're tired.
The Process on the Shooting Line
At Avid Archery, we treat the shooting line like a lab. Whether you are aiming to compete or just want to master the art, we break the process down into manageable segments.
Beyond the Bow Technique isn't just about the shot; it's about the build-up. We integrate functional fitness into every session. If your core is weak, your posture will fail under the weight of the bow. We use battle ropes, pushups, and agility drills to ensure your body can handle the demands of the sport.
Style Specific Coaching
- Recurve: We focus on the fluid motion—the setup, the draw, and the anchor point. Consistency here determines your accuracy.
- Compound: We look at precision and the technical setup. If your tuning isn't right, no amount of practice will save your score. We help you understand your gear so you can troubleshoot on the fly.
Why Practice Here? The Palam Vihar range offers open-air space where you learn to adapt to natural conditions. Shooting in a controlled gym environment is different from being on the field. You learn to read the wind, manage the light, and stay calm when the conditions shift.
Common Questions:
- Do I need my own gear? We provide bows for the first month. By month two, we guide you on what to buy so you aren't wasting money on the wrong equipment.
- Is it too late to start? We have kids and adults training side-by-side. The shooting line doesn't care about age; it only cares about the work you put in.
