About this collection
When I curate a dessert table, my focus isn't just on visual symmetry but on flavor continuity. I ensure the cupcakes and cakesicles use the same high-quality fillings as your centerpiece cake, so every bite across the table feels premium and intentional.
A dessert table is about more than just food; it is an installation piece for your party. When I take on a complete dessert table order, I look at the event theme as a design project. Whether it is a sophisticated corporate launch in red and gold or a whimsical first birthday with character motifs, my goal is to create a cohesive visual language.
My Approach to Dessert Spreads
- The Centerpiece: The main cake acts as the focal point, utilizing my signature tall-cake structures and non-fondant finishes.
- Coordinated Treats: I design matching cupcakes and cakesicles that mirror the aesthetic of the main cake. If the cake features gold-leaf accents or specific stenciling, you will see those same textures and color palettes reflected in the smaller items.
- Thematic Consistency: I don't just use generic colors. I custom-mix gel colors to match your specific event theme, ensuring that the blue of a Cocomelon set or the pastels of a floral display are consistent across every single piece.
Why Non-Fondant Works for Tables
Many of my clients prefer this setup because it allows for a more delicious, lighter experience for guests. Because I work exclusively with buttercream, ganache, and edible paints, your guests get the artistry of a high-end designer display without the rubbery texture of fondant.
I handle everything from the initial design consultation to the final execution, ensuring that your dessert table is a stress-free addition to your event. If you have a specific color scheme or a mood board in mind, let's discuss how we can translate that into a delicious display for your guests.
Swetha Mehta
Hi, I'm Swetha. I treat every dessert table as a canvas where the cake, cupcakes, and cakesicles need to speak the same language. I love the challenge of translating a single theme—whether it’s a Parisian vibe or a kid’s favorite cartoon—across multiple desserts, all without using a gram of fondant.
