About Magical Nights: Receptions & Sangeets
When planning your Sangeet or reception, focus on how the light shifts as the evening progresses. I often combine hundreds of pillar candles with intelligent lighting rigs to shift the mood from a sophisticated dinner setup to a high-energy dance floor, ensuring the visual narrative flows seamlessly through the night.
My design philosophy for evening events is simple: the space should feel alive. Whether you are hosting a high-energy Sangeet in Mumbai or a quiet, candlelit reception under the stars, I treat the venue as a canvas for your personal story.
I move away from standard event styling by focusing on architectural and sensory details. For evening productions, this means using deep color palettes, rich fabric draping, and layers of light to create depth. I do not just place furniture; I build environments. This might involve constructing custom carpentry stages, integrating neon or metallic elements into the backdrop, or using hundreds of real candles to soften the air.
For Sangeet nights, I design for movement and joy. I look at how the stage interacts with the dance floor and how the audience flows through the space. We incorporate statement elements, like oversized floral bows or intricate jaali patterns, to anchor the aesthetic. My goal is to create a setting that is photogenic, of course, but more importantly, one that grounds the energy of your celebration.
