About Signature Details & Materials
I often use fluted glass paired with brass frames for walk-in closets because it adds texture without visual clutter. It creates a soft, translucent look that works beautifully when matched with marble flooring. This is not just about style. It is a choice that makes a room feel light, airy, and surprisingly easy to maintain.
Details are the foundation of good architecture. When I design a space in Delhi NCR, I focus on materials that offer both character and longevity. Whether it is using neo-classical moldings to add depth to a wall or selecting large format marble for a seamless floor, every element is chosen to serve a purpose.
Why Material Selection Matters
- Fluted Glass & Brass: I use these for wardrobes and partitions because they hide the clutter inside while reflecting light, keeping the room feeling spacious.
- Neo-classical Moldings: These add a layer of sophistication to simple walls. They create shadows and depth, which makes a standard room feel like a custom piece of architecture.
- Marble & Stone: I prefer materials that age well. Italian marble is not just about the look. It is about the coolness it brings to our climate and how it connects different areas of the home.
My Approach to Design
I do not believe in following trends for the sake of it. I look for the balance between the architectural bones of your home and the texture of the finishes. If we use a dark wallpaper in a lobby, we pair it with a light floor to keep the energy balanced. If we design a staircase, we ensure the base features a small indoor garden to bring nature inside. My goal is to ensure that when you walk through your home, every corner feels considered and intentional.
