Scent is invisible, so I make it visible. I capture the mood, the texture, and the raw allure of your cosmetic and fragrance products.

How do you photograph a scent? For this YSL Libre bottle, I used a play of hard light and deep shadow against a bold orange backdrop. The goal was to create an image as seductive and warm as the fragrance itself, focusing on the bottle's sculptural lines and the golden liquid within.

A moody, masculine shot of the YSL "Y" fragrance. The deep blue gradient in the glass is the hero, so I used subtle lighting to highlight it against a dark, textured background, with a crystal glass adding to the sophisticated atmosphere.

For Givenchy L'Interdit, the goal was to create an aura of classic, timeless elegance. The soft lighting and dark, out-of-focus background elements give the bottle a quiet confidence and a premium feel.

Lock, stock, and three smoking barrels. This group shot features fragrances from YSL and Paco Rabanne. The monochrome blue lighting and geometric blocks create a cool, modern, and architectural composition that unifies the different bottle shapes.

Neons and water create a whole different vibe. For this Antonio Banderas "The Secret" perfume, I submerged the bottle in water and used colored lights to create these electric, rippling reflections. It's mysterious and very eye-catching.

The cap on this Versace Yellow Diamond perfume is a work of art. I used a gradient background and a reflective surface to make the bottle look like a jewel on display. The lighting is all about making that diamond-cut cap sparkle.

An Emporio Armani fragrance bottle acting as a paperweight. This was a simple idea that came to me in the studio, using a strong backlight to make the bottle glow against a piece of rock.

For Roberto Cavalli Paradiso, I wanted to evoke a feeling of being in a lush garden. I used natural sunlight filtering through green leaves to create dappled light and shadows on the bottle, making it feel fresh and organic.

This Ajmal perfume bottle looks like a star from another galaxy. I placed it against a deep, velvety blue fabric and used soft, focused light to highlight its intricate, geometric gold structure and the faceted glass.

A lifestyle shot for Isak Legacy fragrances. We created a clean, elegant vanity scene with marble, a mirror, and soft florals. This places the product in a real-world context, telling a story of daily ritual and personal style.

About Scent & Seduction: Fragrance & Cosmetics

Shooting fragrance is rarely about the bottle alone. Whether it is capturing the gradient in a heavy glass stopper or managing reflections on gold-plated caps, I spend hours on studio lighting to ensure the product looks as seductive as the scent it holds. If your brand needs visual storytelling that makes an impact, we should discuss the mood board.

Beyond the Bottle

When I approach a fragrance or cosmetic shoot, I do not just look at the product. I look for the story. Is it a dark, moody masculine scent? Or is it something light, floral, and airy? My job is to translate that feeling into a single image.

I utilize a range of techniques to bring this to life:

  • Lighting as a Narrative: I rely on deep shadows and bold gradients to define the shape of the bottle. If you look at my work with YSL or Givenchy, you will see how I use light to create an atmosphere rather than just illuminating the object.
  • Macro Precision: Whether it is the texture of a lipstick case or the intricacies of a perfume cap, I shoot on a 100MP Hasselblad to ensure every detail is crisp.
  • Creative Compositing: Sometimes the bottle needs a stage. I experiment with textures like rock, velvet, water, and florals to ground the fragrance in a real world environment.

My Process

Every project starts with a conversation. We define the brand language, sketch out concepts, and then hit the studio. Whether you need a hero shot for a billboard or a series of lifestyle images for social media, I ensure the final output feels premium. I work with a dedicated team of stylists and production assistants to handle everything from prop sourcing to set design.

Since everything happens at my studio in Pune, I prefer to work tethered, meaning you see the magic happen on the monitor in real time. This ensures we get exactly what you need without the guesswork.
