We had the honor of decorating this beautiful Christian wedding in Shivamogga. We adorned the church aisle with simple, elegant white floral arrangements and bows to create a serene and sacred atmosphere.

About Signature Mandaps & Ceremony Spaces
I do not believe in standard templates. I study the venue’s natural geometry first. If it is a heritage home in Thirthahalli, I design around existing pillars to preserve the history. For open-air resort events, I ensure floral density is high enough to frame the landscape rather than clutter it, creating a balance between nature and ceremony.
When designing a ceremony space, my goal is to make the decor feel like a natural extension of the venue. Whether you are hosting an intimate wedding in an ancestral home or a grand ceremony at a city resort, the mandap acts as the anchor for the entire day.
My Approach to Mandaps
I prioritize 100% fresh blooms—jasmine, tuberose, and roses—to bring life to the structure. For heritage venues, I lean into organic elements like coconut fronds and brass lamps to honor the architecture. For modern resort settings, I often work with pastel georgette draping, gold accents, and fairy light canopies to achieve a clean, elegant aesthetic.
Why Lighting Matters
Lighting is my secret weapon. A mandap can look different in the harsh afternoon sun versus the soft twilight. I plan your lighting layout to ensure the mandap transitions smoothly from a daylight ceremony to an evening reception. We use a mix of general wash lighting and focused spots to ensure you look your best in photos and the space feels warm and inviting.
Practical Considerations
- Weather Prep: For open-air ceremonies, we always discuss backup plans. If we are working in Malnad, we prepare for the specific humidity and light conditions of the region.
- Structural Planning: I ensure the mandap pillars and height are adjusted based on the guest count and the venue ceiling or open space to maintain a comfortable visual ratio.
- Floral Care: All flowers are sourced locally and arranged on the day of the event to ensure they remain vibrant throughout the ceremony.
