Heritage & Traditional Wedding Decor
I weave the charm of ancestral homes into your wedding day. Using fresh local blooms, brass accents, and traditional structures, I help make your ceremony feel like a timeless celebration of your family roots.
A closer look at the details from a traditional wedding at Aralaguppe Heritage Stay. We used antique brass lamps, marigold garlands, and intricate floral work on the pillars to weave a tapestry of cultural charm and timeless beauty.
For Niharika and Ashish's wedding, the bride wanted a design that felt both elegant and unique. We created this stunning canopy of hanging roses and ribbons for her entry and ceremony, a bespoke design that made for a truly spellbinding moment.
The entrance to this traditional home is lined with elegant floral stands. The arrangements of white and pink roses create a welcoming path for guests, showcasing our commitment to quality and detail at every step.
This wide view shows how we integrate our decor with the venue. The traditional floral hangings and arrangements on the steps of this beautiful Malnad home create a cohesive and festive look for the wedding.
About Heritage & Traditional Weddings
One thing I always tell families planning a heritage wedding is that the space should dictate the design, not the other way around. Whether I am working with an ancestral home in Thirthahalli or a traditional resort, my approach is to amplify the existing architecture rather than cover it up. We use organic elements like banana stems and fresh jasmine, so the setup feels like a natural extension of the venue rather than a temporary installation that clashes with the history of the house.
When you choose a traditional theme, the goal is to respect the heritage of your chosen venue. I often find that less is more. By utilizing the natural aesthetic of a 250-year-old home or a rustic resort, we create a setting that feels deeply connected to your roots.
The Mandap: Heart of the Ceremony
For heritage weddings, I stick to structured, 4-pillar mandaps. We use wooden finishes or brass cladding to keep it authentic. The floral work here is dense—no gaps—using 100% fresh local blooms like Jasmine, Marigold, and Tuberose. It is not just about making it look full, it is about that specific, heady fragrance that fills the air during the rituals.
Lighting That Feels Natural
Avoid harsh, bright floods. In a traditional setting, I rely on antique brass lamps and warm, ambient wash lighting. The goal is to mimic the soft glow of oil lamps, making the space feel intimate even if you have hundreds of guests.
Why Malnad Roots Matter
I bring the Malnad sensibility to Bengaluru weddings. Whether it is integrating banana leaves and coconut fronds or creating floral torans for the entrance, these are not just props. They are symbols of prosperity and tradition. If you have a family home, we can transform the courtyard into the perfect mandap space, ensuring the decor complements the history of your home rather than distracting from it. Let's talk about the specific space you have in mind and how we can make it feel uniquely yours.
