I know how bad it feels when you get scammed online. That panic, anger, and not knowing who to trust—it messes with your head. I’ve seen all kinds of digital pange (troubles) in my work, and my job is to help you fight back with the right legal tools.

The New Face of Online Fraud

Scammers are not just after OTPs anymore. The 'mamla' (matter) has become serious:

• UPI frauds, fake e-commerce, and digital payments gone wrong
• “Digital arrest” extortion: impersonators pretending to be cops or ED officials, demanding money
• Aadhaar and fingerprint (AEPS) scams—yes, paisa (money) can disappear with just a cloned thumbprint
• Investment frauds where people promise big returns and vanish
• Data theft and privacy breaches—especially under the new Digital Personal Data Protection Act

What I Actually Do

My approach is simple. We use law as our weapon:

• Money recovery: Filing police complaints (Section 420 IPC) or fast-track summary suits
• Tackling impersonation: Using Section 66D IT Act India against fraudsters
• Data misuse: Making companies answerable under the new DPDP Act
• Using your digital footprint—WhatsApp chats, DMs, emails—as evidence

What You Can Do

• Don’t share OTP, PIN, or passwords—ever
• Use only trusted sites (look for that ‘https’)
• If someone visits you and asks for money, check their ID, record if possible, and confirm with official helplines
• Don’t click on random links or download unknown files
