Divorce: Not Just Court Drama
Divorce is heavy. You can't file for it in the first year of marriage (Section 14, Hindu Marriage Act). Sometimes, judicial separation is better if you need space to think. Most divorces happen on grounds of cruelty – not just physical, but emotional too, like public shaming or being forced to abandon parents. Ignore movie myths, there’s no fixed alimony calculation process or property split formula—the court checks income, lifestyle, and more.
When False Accusations Happen
A lot of my work is defending families, mostly men, from false dowry or domestic violence cases. I make sure police don’t rush into arrests (I use Supreme Court rules for this). If the complaint is all over the place, I push for quashing false FIRs. And if you’re being blackmailed with fake cases, I help you collect proof for counter-action.
