Paint With Me: Sunset Skies & City Lights Workshops in Bengaluru
Think you can’t draw a straight line? Perfect. I’m Deeksha, and these sessions are all about catching the "gudgudaahat"—that tingling feeling when you create something lovely from scratch. Let’s paint some dreamy pink skies and city lights together. ✨
This is my process for creating a fiery beach sunset on a small canvas. I love teaching how to blend colors to capture the perfect sky, a popular theme in my weekend painting sessions.
A quick tutorial on painting a pretty pink and purple sunset over a road. This is a great example of a simple yet beautiful landscape that we often create in my beginner-friendly workshops.
Here's how I paint dreamy palm trees against a soft pink sky. This style uses simple brush techniques to create a beautiful, textured look, which I guide you through step-by-step.
Another take on a pink sky painting, showing how different color combinations can create a completely different mood. I encourage everyone to play with colors and find their own style.
This video shows the creation of a cityscape at dusk, with glowing windows against a purple sky. It’s a fun way to learn about light and shadow in painting.
Painting an entire book, one page at a time. This page features a magical night sky over a city, showing that you can turn any surface into a canvas for your art.
This was the first page of my sketchbook painting challenge. I started with a simple sunset over a city skyline, a calming subject that's perfect for getting into the creative flow.
A quick mini-painting of a moonlit lake scene. Even a small canvas can hold a beautiful, peaceful landscape, and these are perfect for a short and satisfying art session.
I love getting back to basics with a simple landscape. This painting shows how to build up layers to create depth, a fundamental skill I teach in all my workshops.
About Paint With Me: Sunset Skies & City Lights
Here is the honest truth about my workshops: you don't need fancy skills. I bring all the materials, from the brushes to the paints, so you just show up ready to make a mess. Whether we’re at a cozy cafe or chilling in Cubbon Park, the focus is on the process, not perfection. If you end up with a wobbly sky or a blob-like building, that’s just part of the charm.
My approach to painting isn't about rigid theory. It is about capturing that 'Sunset Skies & City Lights' aesthetic—all those vibrant pinks, moody purples, and glowing silhouettes—without worrying about making it museum-ready.
What to expect at my sessions:
- Cafe Paint & Sip: These are my go-to weekend art workshops in Bengaluru. We spend about 3 hours on canvas, often with a drink or meal included. It is structured enough that you will definitely leave with a finished piece, even if it is your first time holding a brush.
- Outdoor Meetups: If you want something more casual, catch me at places like Cubbon Park. These are smaller, low-cost sessions where we work on bookmarks, postcards, or smaller paper surfaces. It is basically art therapy with good company.
Why these techniques work for beginners:
I focus on layering. You start with simple color gradients for the sky, and then we add the city skyline or trees as silhouettes. It is a cheat code for creating depth. We use student-grade acrylics that are forgiving and easy to blend.
I share these step-by-step processes because I believe everyone needs a creative outlet. If you have been looking for an easy painting class in Bangalore or just want to try a new hobby, this is the place. You don't need to be an expert to enjoy the flow of painting. Just bring yourself, and I will handle the rest.
