My Artistic Journey and Creative Process
From upcycled cassettes to live digital portraits, here is a peek into how I find magic in the everyday. Explore the evolution of my style and the inspiration behind my work.
Hitting 1000 posts was a huge milestone and gave me a chance to reflect on my journey. I started with upcycling old items and eventually found my passion for storytelling through digital art, which led me to live illustration.
My personal style and my art are very connected. Here I am during Navratri, wearing a beautiful blue saree from my mom's closet. I find inspiration in everything, from traditional patterns to bright, festive colors.
About My Artist Journey & Style
My style didn't happen overnight. I started by upcycling old CDs and cassettes, but I found my real rhythm when I leaned into digital storytelling and live sketching. Whether it is a quick portrait at a brand event or custom art for your home, I use my iPad and watercolor markers to capture moments in a way that feels playful, quirky, and uniquely yours.
Every piece of art I create comes from the same place: a desire to make the mundane feel a little more magical. My journey hasn't been a straight line. I went through a phase where I was just documenting painting adventures, but hitting a creative rut a while back actually helped me grow. It forced me to switch things up, move away from just being 'comfortable' in my old methods, and start experimenting with digital art and live illustrations.
My Process
When I work on a project, whether it's for a brand launch or a private celebration, my goal is to create something tangible.
- Live Sketching: I set up my station and draw guests in real-time using watercolor markers or my iPad Pro. People love watching the process—it's essentially entertainment and a party favor in one.
- Digital Doodling: I use Procreate to add layers of personality to photos. It’s perfect for turning travel shots or event photos into digital scrapbooks.
- Experimental Surfaces: If it can be drawn on, I will draw on it. From wood and tote bags to traditional paper, I love testing how my art translates across different textures.
I believe the best art comes from honesty, not perfection. If you are looking for someone to add a creative, artistic touch to your event without the stiff, formal vibe, I think we will get along perfectly. Let’s make something cute together.
