When I start a piece, I look for the emotion in your reference photo rather than just the lines. I work on my iPad using Procreate, layering sketches and watercolor washes until it feels right, happy accidents and all. You will not get a sterile, computed image; you will get something that feels like a page out of a personal diary.
My process is deeply personal. I start by asking for your story, not just a photo. Whether it is a sketch of your pup's favorite nap spot or the architecture of a cafe you visited, my goal is to keep the art feeling authentic. I love the 'happy little accidents' where a stray brush stroke adds character that I had not planned for.
I offer a few distinct styles, from clean urban sketches to textured digital oil paintings for pet portraits. Everything is delivered as a high-resolution digital file, so you can print it, frame it, or share it on social media. For most commissions, I take about 2-4 days to send over the final file, and I always include at least one round of revisions to make sure the likeness and the mood hit the mark.
